Miracle Mile
We provide float and wade fishing trips on this, the first tailwater of the North Platte river system, flowing out of Seminoe (Kortes Dam) year round. This fishery is known for quality over quantity with a fish counts of 2500 fish per mile but an average size of 18″- 22″s. The river can certainly be temperamental so using the drift boats to locate the actively feeding fish is the way to go at higher flows.
Brown, rainbow, cutthroat, cutbow and an occasional walleye are found on the “Mile” making it a very special stretch of river. From beginners to seasoned anglers you will be challenged to crack the code of what the fish are keyed in on and our guides are here to help.

Winter Dec-Feb
Consistent water at 500cfs allow float trips and quality fishing year round at the Mile. Brown’s are spawning so watch for beds but that post spawn bite can be pretty epic. Streamers, leeches, eggs, worms, and midges need to be assessed for hook quality as these fish will test any weak links in your setup.

Spring March – May
You will be hard pressed to find a better fishery in the country during this window of time. The weather can be challenging but the fish are hungry and the bugs start moving. Scuds, bwo’s, leeches, midges on 7’5″ 3x leaders work well. You can find some fish rising so look for the seagulls on the feed to know it might be time to look for risers in the tail-outs of runs but you’ll most likely do better on emergers.

Summer June-August
Get ready to enjoy the warm temps of the summer and the possibility of a mid day swim to cool off. Thankfully the fishing doesn’t cool off and we see some amazing stonefly hatches with opportunities at big fish on the surface. Pack those foam bodied big bugs and get on that drift boat as water levels are usually above 2600cfs and wade fishing can be challenging. The drift boats allow you to pound the banks with dry dropper rigs and see aggressive top water takes.
Also know that we get some color to the water from runoff leaving the Seminoe and Kortes Reservoirs so an attractor fly helps get that fishes attention. Bugs: annelids, pats rubber legs, pmd’s (in a dark bodie), caddis.

Fall Sept. – Nov.
Water temps start coming back into shape but we encourage heavier pound test so you can wrestle trophy trout out of the moss and get them released. Brown’s are migrating up from Pathfinder Reservoir so getting the to grab a swung fly from a spey cast can be an experience of a lifetime. Crowds lighten up but the use of drift boats to side drift and taxi you to the best swing runs is the way to go.
Moss is still pretty heavy until we see some cooler temps to kill off vegetation so think skinny rigs.
